These seem to be an effective treat for helping my energetic Aussie recover after a particularly active day. She seems to like the taste. It’s not a medication but it is medicinal, I appreciate the natural ingredients. Keep in mind the statements made on the label have not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration though. I would recommend asking your vet before using them, as the label suggests. But it’s nice to have a natural ingredient treat to give my girl if I think she needs a little extra help after a long day!

I saw this supplement for dogs and decided to try it. As your dogs age, their mobility and joint health decline so preparing ahead is vital. This comes in 128 chews and its bacon flavor, one of many favorites for my dog. He likes bacon and so do I. I am not sure it makes a difference to his health now but for the future it may help.

I gave this supplement blend 5 stars based on the ingredients. It includes some known benefcials, like vegan glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, turmeric, vitamin c--w/seldom paired MSM, Boswellia, green-lipped mussels in the same compound. Even the inactive ingredients are known and trusted: rice bran, apple powder, sweet potato & several others. At $38, it's not cheap but w/120 chews, they can last over a month, even 2, based on your dog's weight. They are made in the U.S., have no artificial preservatives, flavoring, or gluten. 3rd party testing & an FDA registered facility add to the trust level. For me, the slight bacon smell is ok. I find them a bit different than the usual chews. They are turmeric colored, look, but do not feel oily, and are comparatively small. My dog won't eat them out of hand, but she won't eat any supplements alone. I can't say whether they make her joints better, but I can say that she isn't licking her "knees" or paws as much. As the weather warms & we walk and play outside more, I'll update the reviews of the supplements I'm giving her. She's a very cute, but very chubby, very Corgi mix adopted from the shelter, she's still coming into her full personality. Supplements can help restore her mobility, reduce any pain she feels, and add restorative effects to her joints. I find the rehabilitation of a sweet pup who was dumped on the side of the road to be worth some extra effort. I think this supplement has the ingredients that could help her.

We have a 17 year old Border Collie and 16 year old chihuahua and our old men can use all the help they can get staying mobile. If you have an active dog or a senior who is starting to slow down, do yourself a favor and grab these. It’s such a relief to see our boys moving comfortably again. Our dogs aren’t too picky so they definitely eat these bacon snacks but I don’t think they’re a favorite or anything. I was specifically looking for a blend that included Green Lipped Mussel and Turmeric alongside the standard Glucosamine and Chondroitin. This formula hits all the marks for inflammation and recovery. The 120-count jar is a great value. Since they are gluten-free, I don’t have to worry about sensitive stomachs flaring up.

My first real dog as an adult was a rescue hound mix, she lived to about 14 and never had any joint issues, cancer stole her in the end. My next dog, is my current babe, a lab/pit rescue and she's always been so athletic and strong. She could run like wind and jump and twist and just amaze even fellow pet parents at the dog park with her antics. I just thought she was talented and never thought about the long term effects. I wish I been more diligent with supplements back then as she now struggles with joint pain at the age of 10. She's on a couple medications for pain and inflammation but they don't do as much for her mobility as I'd hoped. My vet has said anything we want to pair with her meds is fine, that we may see a boost using a joint supplement so we've been trying some different brands out. She just cautioned the glucosamine levels have to build up so give the supplements time to work and stick to the directed dosages the avoid stomach upset. So we just came off 3 months of an (expensive) supplement and we saw zero change. We were primarily interested in trying this SolaPup supplement for the green lipped muscles added to the ingredients. I've recently done some reading on them and it's interesting (for dogs and people!) These chews are aimed at joint health, post recovery, for active dogs. They could potentially save you and your dog some heartache down the road so they could be a good option for a young adult dog that's very active (what I wish I had started years ago!) But I did some research on the ingredients and there's definitely some possible benefit for older pups looking to get a boost in mobility too. The feeding instructions are by weight so at 72 pounds my dog is taking 4 a day. The manufacturer gives you some flexibility on this, you can feed them at once or you can split the dosage morning and night. They also suggested to start at a half dosage the first few days, which can help prevent any potty issues from the new ingredients. The texture of the chews is soft and they crumble easily which is helpful for older pups. This is also nice if your dog has fits over "taking medicine". My dog requires pill wrap for her meds and even supplements get a suspicious eye from her. I was not able to get her to eat these just by themselves so I knew she wouldn't tolerate them crumbled over her food either. However, my dog can be very picky, so your mileage may very. What we do is a small dab of peanut butter smeared on top of the supplement, which is my go to even before I open a new supplement, works every time, and was recommended by my vet! We've been splitting the dose morning and night and so far her stomach seems fine. We have noticed, amusingly, that her stool has a bit of an yellow/orange tint, which is due to the tumeric and something I've seen with other supplements that use it. It's just the nature of tumeric and nothing to worry about. We've only been taking these chews about two weeks so it's too early to see any improvements but I'm happy with their quality and wanted to give some positive feedback. Hopefully I can come back in a couple months and give a positive update on my dog's mobility too! As far as manufacturing, these chews are made in the USA and those are the only ones I trust, there's also no artificial fillers added. The price when I ordered was $38 and that's really a fair price for joint supplements which go at a premium price due to the more expensive ingredients. I really like that these chews come in a hard tub, the previous ones I used came in a mylar bag and there was always several crushed to crumbs in the bottom. I have very little crumbs in my container and all the chews are intact. For us, this container is a 1month supply at 4 chews a day, that works out to about $1.25 a day which is a good value in my opinion. I've definitely paid more for less! I would recommend trying these chews for your pup, young or old, I think it's definitely worth a shot to try and prevent joint issues or improve mobility.

He likes them! My old man has some pretty bad knees, so I've constantly got him on supplements and shots to help him out. These have tumeric in them along with the glucosamine, so they're pretty good for them. I'm not sure how much they are helping, but they certainly aren't hurting. Price is pretty much in line with other supplements we've tried over the years, and he thinks they're tasty, so that's good, too.

Our senior lab mix is ridiculously picky. He won’t eat knuckle bones, bully sticks, pig ears, or most of the things dogs love. He’d recently started bunny hopping when he runs. Our vet recommended starting him on glucosamine, chondroitin and omega 3 to help him move better, so we’ve been adding them to his diet. I was concerned we wouldn’t be able to get him to take any because he’s so picky. He now gets excited every morning when it’s time for vitamins and his “medicine” and takes these with no problem. He seems to really like these bacon flavored ones more than most. Our one year old golden retriever also gobbled one up, but she’ll eat just about anything. They don’t smell like bacon exactly, but they don’t smell bad either. The dogs seem to really like them regardless. The dosage is four a day for our big boy, making this a one month supply for him. If you have a smaller dog it will obviously last you longer. It seems a bit expensive at $40 a month, but it would be more economical for smaller dogs.

Good hip and joint chews. Has the important ingredients that actually work for my dog in it. These smell like Smokey bacon. My dog still won't eat these as a treat but has no problem when I mix them in his food. They're easy to break up and put water to in his food. These ones seem to be working I've had experience with other Jews with these ingredients that have had success. It comes in a nice package clearly labeled. The treats appear to be fresh then have a nice texture to them. Very happy with this product

I'm trying out these supplements for my 3 husky dogs. They all love the taste of the chews. They were pretty affordable too, the price was reasonable. They seem to work well. A couple weeks later, all of them seem a bit more alert and focused. I wish they had a higher quantity because I give each dog 3 at a time.

We have 2 dogs, one a small Jack Russel and the other a large Irish Terrier.
The little Jack is a bit over 10 years old and is the pickiest food eater I’ve seen. Amazingly, she can pick small items out of her bowl that she does not like, leaving them on the ground.
The Irish Terrier, under 10 years old, on the other hand doesn’t know what he dislikes, gobbling anything and everything.With that said, both dogs love these chews. That was a relief with the Jack!
Personally, I find the smell not really bacon like, but a wholesome smell, not oft putting in the least to a human. Our Jack gave the first chew a serious sniff test before she ate the chew and is no problem now. The Irish I don’t think even bothered to chew them which was not a surprise. To the degree it helps them is difficult to say with the short time they have been eating them.In reviewing the ingredients, I’m relieved that it has no chemicals or artificial colors and flavors, and that includes the inactive ingredients – all natural which in my view goes a long toward health. Add to that no artificial preservatives. Too, they are made in the USA which offers a peace of mind.
Bottom line: Our dogs like the chews and being all natural and made in the United States: a BIG thumbs up.

My westie mix terrier is extremely picky with his treats. He refuses almost all store bought treats and has refused to try two other brands of joint chews.But not this one! He immediately grabbed these from me and chewed them up! He loves these little chewy treats and I am so happy. I hope they help his joint pain a bit, as I know he's hurting as he is getting older. He's at least 13 years old now and has cataracts, so he most certainly has arthritis also.I've noticed that he has been a little more active today after eating these treats yesterday and today. I love this little guy so much and really want him to be as comfortable as he can be. I am thrilled to have found a hip & joint relief treat that he likes!
